World Braille Day 2012

Release Date: Jan 4th, 2012

203 years ago today Louis Braille was born. He lived from 1809 to 1852 and devised a system for blind people to read and write, having himself lost his sight as a child as a result of an accident. His legacy lives on as Braille continues to be an important and irreplacable medium for people who are blind or vision impaired.
