Writing
Summary: Here are some ideas which may help you to overcome writing difficulties.
Some things to consider:
- Is there sufficient light? Consider sitting near a window or using a lamp.
- The type and colour of the paper can help you see enough to write. Some people may find it easier to write on a pastel colour rather than on bright white paper. Glossy paper may also create glare.
- Try out different pens and markers of various tips, thickness and colours. If one suits use this and ask friends and relatives to use the same pen when writing to you.
Some of the aids available in NCBI resource centres that may help you with writing are:
- Dark-lined copybooks
- A4 and A5 size writing frames
- Signature and envelope guides
- Large-print calendars that provide space for writing in notes each day
- Large-print diaries
- Large-print address books.
