Communicate what you see and what your visions are

This project has been developed to support people with vision impairment enhance their social and professional image to meet the needs of a modern employment market. It will achieve this by developing strategies to strengthen the self-determination and communicative competencies of participants. It seeks to empower people with vision impairment to express themselves confidently in social and professional environments.

The project aims to develop and provide a combination of face-to-face training and accessible online learning in the following subject areas

  • Eye diseases, their impact and coping strategies
  • Human interaction and individual strategies for communicating information about one’s own disability
  • Employers’ requirements, national policies for supporting impaired persons at workplaces
  • Professional communication at the workplace

This project is funded under the EU Life Long Learning Programme and will run until December 31 2011.
